The front edge

Again slow progress. The leading edge of the cowl is getting patched. Opening the area and making the actual patches are easier here but grinding the seams is more time consuming.

The weather have been good last few days. I'm still working outside as you may notice.
All of the old paint and body compound just can't be removed from all sides of connecting sheets. The smell is awful even if there's a tiny amount of something left when welding. Luckily the working area is ventilated, the downside is that not much wind is needed to blow off the welding inert gas.
And soon this edge is all done.
After that final patch it's time to move to the passenger side of the car.

Patch by patch

The weather is getting wet and I've been a bit busy again. Today continued patching the rusty cowl area.

This small hole was left last time. It required some bending and I found myself welding it together from even smaller pieces.

Ended up with an acceptable result. Painted the area right away.

Cowl area rust repairs

Short break extended to two weeks. Meanwhile the autumn came and now it's both dark and cold outside at nights. I continued with the cowl area next to the repaired A-pillar. Just cutting and welding piece by piece.
The paches are relatively easy to make here.
Imitating the weld spots.
Joined next section and finished the seams.
..and the section painted.
